British Columbia, Victoria – August 19th, 2021

MazumaGo, digital payment provider for Canadian businesses, today announced that the company has successfully completed its SOC 1 Type 1 and SOC 2 Type 1 examinations. In doing so MazumaGo maintains its adherence to one of the most stringent, industry-accepted examination standards for service companies and provides additional assurance to its clients, that its business process, information technology and risk management controls are properly designed.

About SOC audits

System and Organization Control audits (SOC) for Service Organizations are an internationally-recognized certification developed by the AICPA.

SOC 1 examination reports focus on the controls at a Service Organization relevant to User Entities’ internal control over financial reporting.

SOC 2  engagements are based on the AICPA’s Trust Service Criteria. SOC 2 audit reports focus on a Service Organization’s non-financial reporting controls as they relate to Security, Availability, Confidentiality, Processing Integrity and Privacy of a system.

The examination was conducted by an independent auditor Dansa D’Arata Soucia LLP ( The official examination report provides a thorough review of MazumaGo’s internal controls, policies, and processes for digital payment processing. It also reviews MazumaGo’s processes relating to risk management and subservice (vendor) due diligence, as well as MazumaGo’s entire IT infrastructure, software development life cycle, change management, logical security, network security, physical & environmental security, and computer operations.

At MazumaGo, security has always been a priority. We are pleased that our SOC 1 and 2 reports have shown that we have the appropriate controls in place to mitigate risks related to the services we provide to our customers.
